Hear the new All The Best Tapes track, ‘Calle De La Cruces’

By Glen Bushell

Calling yourself a “thrash jazz” band is bound to raise a few eyebrows, and you would need to have a fighting spirit to back up that claim. For All The Best Tapes – who have coined this moniker – it couldn’t be more fitting, and is demonstrated perfectly on their new single, ‘Calle De La Cruces’.

There is also a little more than meets the eye to All The Best Tapes, as the band have faced their fair share of diversity. They were not always an instrumental band, but when vocalist Marcus Barker found himself suffering from Tietze’s Syndrome, it forced him to stop singing completely. The band faced more set backs in October 2016, when serious health concerns halted the initial release of ‘Calle De La Cruces’, which you can exclusively hear below.

‘Calle De La Cruces’ is release as a double A-side with ‘Perfect Hibernation’ on March 10th via Sunbird Records.
