First play of the new Six Time Champion EP, ‘More Than Me’

By Glen Bushell

The quality of UK pop-punk is certainly on the rise again, and of the most promising young bands of to appear as of late are Six Time Champion. Today we are excited to bring you the first play of their reflective new EP, ‘More Than Me’.

“‘More Than Me’ is a product of the last 2 years of this bands life,” explains the band of the release. “As such, it’s a very personal record that reflects a lot of the things that have happened in our lives both as individuals and as a collective. With this E.P, we set out to write something that would not only push ourselves as songwriters and musicians, but be honest and relatable to those that would listen to it. It deals with themes of feeling trapped in situations that are out of your control, frustration and self doubt which are things that we all experience in life at one point or another.

“For us, More Than Me is a natural progression from our previous output. We worked hard to retain the more energetic side of our music from previous releases whilst keeping ourselves open to different influences so as not to write the same record twice. We’re all really happy with the end result and can’t wait to release it and get back out on the road.”
