Faux take on “Fauxlympic” challenges in ‘Call’ video

By Ben Tipple

It’s been an electric couple of weeks in the sporting world, not least for Great Britain. Ending the Olympics in Rio with one more gold medal than China, only the United States bettered their metallic haul, the latter celebrating forty-six top gongs.

According to Southampton based dirty-pop quartet Faux and their newest video for ‘Call’, we’re doing it all wrong anyway. See, we could have celebrated pole position had the Olympics made a small change to their list of competitive sports. Onion eating, anyone? Planking? Eating enough chili to induce vomiting? On second thoughts, perhaps we wouldn’t fare as well on that last one…

We’ll leave it to our potential champions, who in the video – available to view below – seem to either be having the time or their lives, or regretting all their decisions. Much like the real Olympics then.

‘Call’ is taken from the band’s recent ‘Inhale’ EP, the review for which you can read here. The band will be playing Fort Fest in early September and Southampton’s WTFest in October.
