Haggard Cat announce new album and release single

By Punktastic

What better way to start off October than with news that Nottingham’s ever unique, genre defying Haggard Cat are back? The inimitable band have announced that they will be releasing their sophomore full length, ‘Common Sense Holiday’, on 13 March 2020 – and, if that’s too long to wait (it is quite a long time, after all), they’ve also released new single ‘First Words’. The single features a guest appearance from Jamie Lenman, and you can watch the video in full below.

Vocalist and guitarist Matt Reynolds says of the track, “‘First Words’ was the first thing we wrote for the album, and it’s also the first track on the album. It sets out our blue-print for ‘Common Sense Holiday’ pretty neatly so we thought it only made sense to be the very first snippet that people get to hear. The song itself is about finding your own unique voice and learning how to use it for the right reason. It’s also about holding each other up because we are stronger in numbers than as individuals moving in different directions.”

CD and vinyl pre-orders for the new album are available now here.
