Sunday night is always bittersweet at Awesomefest. Sweet, because there are more good bands to see, but bitter because it means the fest is almost over. This year was particularly bittersweet, with the announcement just before the weekend began that Southern California’s Dudes Night was calling it quits. The announcement on their Facebook page read:
“Awesome Fest is most likely our last show. We didn’t want to make a big deal about it, but we thought it would be unfair to all of you if we didn’t at least mention it. Thank you all for any support you have given us over the years and I hope to see a bunch of you at Soda Bar on Sunday night.”
It was, perhaps, their best set ever.
