This single, released via Pandycane, is their departing gift and it’s an excellent little finale for a band that didn’t quite reach the heady heights they Breathing Blue – S/T Fair play to these New Jersey boys for scrapping autotune and triggers and making and recording an EP that’s organic and natural-sounding. Way too many bands rely on producers layering the crap out of their sound, often with all kinds of unnatural sounds, and so while I Hello Mexico – Five Twenty Seven Mike recently reviewed this band, back in January, and described them as being a bit like Fall of Troy playing Karate tunes. I don’t hear that at all! Hello Mexico are a London-based five-piece that play a relaxed, rockin’ style that’s based around a pretty cool Our Last Night support WATO?
