Some of the best new music this year has come out of the Pacific Northwest, specifically Portland. You can now add Alien Boy to that list, as we bring you the first look at their new video, ‘Swell’.
“This song is the harshest song I’ve ever written,” says Sonia from Alien Boy. “The whole thing is supposed to be over dramatic and I wanted the video to get that across as well. Our friends Samantha Sutcliffe and Morgan Troper (who shot and edited the video) were only in town for a week so we did it in my parents garage at 8am before some of us had to go to work. More than anything I wanted to create a visual for the aesthetic that gets hinted at through our songs and our live shows. Eyeliner, candles, brooding stares etc. Extremely over the top drama that’s still lighthearted.”
