Watch the video for Higuera’s fun and dark track, ‘Spring’

By Glen Bushell

With their new single, ‘Spring’, Higuera have managed to make a dark narrative sound appealing. The song is driving and powerful, while it has a contrasting theme, lyrically, as the band explain below.

“I wrote ‘Spring’ for a part of a six song operetta that I was working on back in 2014, and was playing it in the back of our trailer last year when our drummer first heard it. It’s a really cool song about a rural town that has to sacrifice their kids for rain to produce sufficient harvest. It’s just a really fun and dark song, I’m not really sure how else to put it.”

Check out the video for ‘Spring’ below, recorded for Ring Road Live Sessions.

Higuera have a few shows coming up in California, and you can find out more about the band on Facebook.
