Brisbane based progressive rockers Awaken I Am have unveiled the official video for ‘Exposure’. The track is taken from their well received ‘Shields and Crowns’ LP, and sees the band continue the energetic take on their emotive sound.
“I was in a dark place where the person I was, wasn’t the person I wanted to be,” explains vocalist Adam Douglas. “I was lost, there was a fork in the road, and I took the wrong path. ‘I need to find myself. I’m becoming someone else’ was exactly that. There was a fork in the road, and I took the wrong path, and its been a long detour from the person I was at that time. This song, was written from me, and addressed to me in hope I would find me, the real me. Writing music was definitely the best thing for me, and being in a band with a bunch of lads could be what saved me from going through with such a traumatic time.”
