Watch Meet Me In Montauk perform acoustic for Cavis Tapes

By Glen Bushell

Earlier this week, we brought you a wonderful Cavis Tapes session from Boy On Guitar. Today we are teaming up with them once more to bring you another session from one of our favourite bands, Meet Me In Montauk. Dalton and Nathan from the Californian emo quartet gave us a few words about the session.

“’Young Ringo’ is about drugs and how they destroy relationships,” explains Dalton. ”Specifically when a relationship is on a down turn and you turn to drugs to ease the process instead of trying to fix it.”

“This song is about a girl that really found her way into my brain,” says Nathan of ‘Used to It’. “I didn’t know how to handle it because she was in a relationship but every time I would try to back off she would persist and it was really confusing and stressful for me. I chose the song for the video because we don’t play it live very often so it might be cool for people to be able to access a live video online whenever they want.”

Meet Me In Montauk’s latest album, ‘Dork Soul’, is available now.
