As Glasgow trio Donnie Willow prepare to release their ‘Inhale. Exhale.’ mini-album early next month, the alternative-rockers have unleashed a video of them tearing up the city’s iconic King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, complete with mass singalong.
The clip features snippets of two Donnie Willow tracks, opening with lead single ‘I Eat Flies’ and closing with crowd-pleaser ‘Alice’.
“After seeing some of our favourite bands headline King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, we have always wanted to have our own headline show there,” the band explain. “The gig completely surpassed our expectations. Having so many people sing along and jump about helped create a great energy for the whole set, making it our favourite show to date. We cannot wait for the album launch now!”
This album launch will take place on the 4th March at The Old Hairdressers in Glasgow. Showcasing the 7-track record, if this video is anything to go by, fans are in for a treat.
Speaking of lead single, ‘I Eat Flies’, the band had the following to say: “Like all the songs on the mini-album, ‘I Eat Flies’ went through different versions during the writing process. We felt this made each song sound the best it could before going into the studio. We experiment with different song styles on the record, and feel this single displays our aggressive side. After playing these songs live for the past couple of years we are really happy with how they turned out after working with Bruce Rintoul and Ed Woods.”
