Northampton’s Threads are preparing to release their new EP on Monday 11th November. Before they do, we are exclusively streaming ‘The Emperor’s New Misery’ in full.
Taking a step away from November 2011 release ‘Surgery’, the art-punks have created a more guitar driven sound.
“It’s great to finally be delivering some new aural delights to the unsuspecting public,” bassist Alex Berry comments. “We’ve been quiet for the last few months, working away, honing our sound. This record is a lot more refined than the last, a lot more guitar driven. We’ve lost the Hammond organ, and whilst the new material may sound upbeat in melodic value, the lyrical subject matter is still just as bleak and dystopic as before.”
The physical CD will be available in either blue or pink, with a digital download to boot.
