Originally appearing on 2008’s ‘Boxing Day Massacre’, Textbook’s ‘Outside’ has been pampered, enjoying the remastering experience for their forthcoming ‘On The B-Side (Best of 2000 – 2015)’ release. It marks the first of two albums to receive the Paper + Plastick Sound of the Skull treatment, releasing music digitally and on a USB drive (a format the label themselves describe as “slowly dying”) and includes a limited edition resin skull.
Formed from the ashes of Not Rebecca by vocalist Dave Lysien, ‘On The B-Side…’ marks Textbook’s fifteenth anniversary, spanning their entire back-catalogue. Produced by Matt Allison, John Agnello and Mike Haigler, the record includes guest spots by Jeff Pezzati of Naked Raygun and Dan Vapid. There’s even some unreleased material on there.
