Stream: Reggie and the Full Effect – ‘No Country For Old Musicians’

By Ben Tipple

Resulting from an extremely successful Kickstarter campaign, Reggie and the Full Effect are preparing to release their first album in over 5 years on the 18th November 2013. ‘No Country For Old Musicians’ saw 1,221 pledgers raise in excess of $50000 in order to make the record a reality.

Recorded at Black Lodge Recording in Eudora, Kansas, ‘No Country For Old Musicians’ is the final record to ever be created there. The process followed James Dewees’ inspiration from a communal outcry for more Reggie and the Full Effect material. Dewees had filled his time as the keyboardist of The Get Up Kids, and writing and touring with the likes of New Found Glory and My Chemical Romance.

After being called the “emo Jimmy Buffett’ – a long established American singer-songwriter – Dewees swiftly picked up the pen. “Writing and recording Reggie And The Full Effect for me is like finding your best friends again after years of being away and being able to pick up right where you left off…and they brought snacks” he muses.

We are streaming the brand new Reggie and the Full Effect album, ‘No Country For Old Musicians’, a week before its official release date.
