Wearing their punk heritage on their sleeves, Eindhoven’s (in the Netherlands) Call It Off proudly market themselves as a return to straightforward energetic three-chord punk, reminiscent of Green Day and Alkaline Trio. Having just released their newest record, ‘Liars’, the four-piece let the melody do the talking. There’s no pretense, no obscure references, no experimental moments – instead it’s chorus driven, vocally rousing pop-punk in all its glory.
We caught up with Call It Off at Groezrock Festival. Despite them not being on the bill, we brought them into the Punktastic cabin for an acoustic offering of ‘Stuck With You’. See how it turned out in the YouTube player.
