Pop-punks Junior are anything but sorry in their new video

By Ben Tipple

Cardiff pop-punks Junior sit on the verge of releasing their debut mini-album ‘JuniorLand’; a record that, according to them, is all about substance. “We all liked the idea of a concept album, and building our own little world that’s explained and explored through each of the songs,” says guitarist and vocalist Matt Attard of the record, distinguishing themselves from the typical themes that underpin a significant proportion of the genre.

Comprising a professional wrestler, a children’s book author and the head of a non-profit organisation, Junior are both unusual in their formation and their ethos, yet that doesn’t stop them from having a good time. “This is our ‘crowd surf’ song on the EP,” the band say of ‘If I Had The Time I’d Tell You I’m Not Sorry’. “We kept it fast, short and to the point… similar to Netflix and chill with Matt,” they laugh.

“The video gives a pretty sweet representation of both the song, and the fun that we have as a band. Plus, if there’s ever an opportunity for your bassist to pull out a backflip off a stage, now’s the time right?!”

We can’t help but agree.

‘JuniorLand’ will be available from the 16th October 2015, and can be pre-ordered now.

Junior will be touring on their Michael Tourdan stint in early November. Dates below.
