Kingston punks Less Deceived run the risk of underselling themselves with the title of their new EP, yet ‘Average Songs About The Best Days Of Our Lives’ is anything but flat. Dominated by fast-paced punk rock with the smallest hint of pop, Less Deceived are delivering an apt soundtrack for unashamed frivolity.
“‘My Main Weakness Is How Weak I Am’ is a song about long rides home in the passenger seat, when you’re just starting to sober up and your brain decides to figure out how to make your life better,” Harry Slater offers somewhat cryptically to describe their latest track. “It’s also about how we’re all probably going to die in Dom’s car,” he adds.
Here’s hoping to a longer life than the band might have planned, and to being better than average, of course.
