Ska-punk outfit Popes Of Chillitown have been making a name for themselves on the British underground since the release of 2013’s crowd sources debut ‘A Word To The Wise’. Despite some in-house turbulence, the six-piece have enjoyed performances alongside Reel Big Fish, The Selecter, The Skints, [Spunge] and many more.
Having battled with some line-up changes since, Popes Of Chillitown are now ready to unveil their sophomore album, ‘To The Moon’. “This record’s a bit of a milestone for us as we had some line-up changes since the last album in 2013,” they explain. “We couldn’t be more excited about how it’s turned out, it feels to us like a pretty fair cross-section of what we’re about and we’re just itching now to unleash it on the general public!”
With that in mind, we are streaming ‘To The Moon’ in full a few days ahead of release. The album will drop properly on the 15th May, and is currently available to pre-order via BandCamp.
Popes Of Chillitown will be celebrating the release of ‘To The Moon’ with a handful of UK dates, including an album release show at The Garage in London on the 15th.
