First play of the new Landmarks EP, ‘In Spite Of It All’

By Glen Bushell

Things haven’t been easy for Manchester pop-rock band, Landmarks. After some unfortunate studio issues, they nearly lost everything, but after coming out of stronger the other side, they ended putting together an excellent EP, ‘In Spite Of It All’, which we are bringing you an exclusive premiere of today.

“Our third EP ‘In Spite of it All’ deals with loss as one of its central themes, whether that be the loss of a friend, a loved one, or even your own sense of identity,” explains the band of the release. “It’s about having the strength to stand up and continue moving forward despite any hardships and setbacks, being able to come out the other side with a smile on your face. That’s sort of the mantra we adopted during the recording process too when the studio we were working at was broken into and robbed – twice! Luckily, everything was recovered in the end and we completed the record just a little later than scheduled.

“We’re extremely excited for people to listen to these 5 tracks and we hope they can take something away from it in. The feeling that everything will work out for the best no matter what you may have to go through along the way. The music that inspires us teaches us a number of things about certain life experiences and also puts a smile on our face; we just want to do the same for other people.”
