It seems like Boy On Guitar are virtually unstoppable right now. After releasing a fantastic split with Chase Huglin earlier this year, and a summer tour about to start alongside recent P.O.V stars Quieter, they have no plans to slow down just yet. Their next release is an inventive split with Californian musician Sean Duncan, which shows a completely new side to both artists. Today we are bringing you an exclusive listen to the excellent first track from the release, ‘The Story of Gennifer’.
“The idea of collaborating on an EP came about as we were recording Boy On Guitar’s upcoming full-length at the same time that Sean (also a member of Boy On Guitar) was recording his solo album,” explains Jonathan Jennings from Boy On Guitar. “We thought it would be fun to mix the two projects into a split record that encompasses different styles of music that are not featured on our individual releases. We all enjoy experimenting with different genres and this allowed us to have an outlet for these ideas.”
The split between Boy On Guitar and Sean Duncan is being released as a limited lathe cut 6” record via Ronald Records and Way Grimace Records, and is available to pre-order now. Boy On Guitar will be on tour throughout August alongside Quieter, which you can see the dates for below.
