First play of Sean Duncan’s new track, ‘Do You Hear What I See’

By Glen Bushell

You may not be familiar with Californian musician Sean Duncan by name, but you will have probably heard of some of bands he has worked with. After releasing music under different aliases, and collaborating with bands such as Boy On Guitar, Kid Mud, and Thombie, the mulit-instrumentalist is now ready to release music under his own name, and today we are bringing you the first play of his new track, ā€˜Do You Hear What I See’. It is the latest offering from his forthcoming debut album, ā€˜Saturated Diluted’.

ā€œThis single is kind of a background to the whole album,ā€ explains Duncan. ā€œIt’s a perception of how I have seen things for a while. I love a great conversation where i get to hear thoughts and opinions of others. I have always felt that I have learned from conversations like these. I don’t know everything but i always like learning more. I feel in this “era of the wisest” that nobody listens to others because they already think they are the smartest person alive. This then turns into shaming, name-calling, threats, and a birth of a bully. People will take these words as i think I’m some righteous know- it-all, but I’m really just a simple man that finds people very interesting. This goes with the lyrics “why do I think I’m better than you” which then turns around to “why do you think you’re better than me.” Being driven by feelings and passion is great but not when it closes your mind to rational thinking.ā€

’Saturated Diluted’ is released on June 24th via Ronald Records and Way Grimace Records, and is available to pre-order now.
