Formed out of the shared desire to reinvigorate the Surrey music scene, Idle States released their debut EP ‘Statues’ in May of last year. Filled with progressive punk-rock somewhere between Circa Survive, Mallory Knox and older influences such as Saosin and Hopesfall, Idle States create a retro sound that remains refreshingly contemporary.
Entering 2014 with plans for a second EP and some increasingly promising live shows, we are pleased to host an exclusive acoustic version of ‘Taps & Optics’.
‘Statues’ is available for ‘name your own price’ via BandCamp. Half of the proceeds also go to the UK based charity Youth Music, which supports underrepresented youngsters through music.
