The end of 2013 has seen the momentum behind Cumbria’s Colt 45 vastly increase. In part due to their surprise headline performance at this year’s Cockrock Festival when scheduled bill-topper Wiley stormed off stage after a negative reaction to his misguided tweets, the trio found themselves picked up by Visible Noise for a release of their debut EP ‘Coughing Up Confessions’.
Combining their two previous EP’s, ‘Coughing Up Confessions’ boasted a selection of distinctively gruff pop-punk, including the inherently catchy ‘Happiness is a Dying Art’, and the even more sombre ‘Everybody Will Let You Down’.
To cap off the year, the band have recorded a mini acoustic set in the UK’s Gibson Studios, including a version of ‘Everybody Will Let You Down’ exclusively for Punktastic. You may disagree, but there’s a little Dustin Kensrue in frontman Neil Harper’s vocals on this one…
