Pop-punkers Yellowcard, famed for their fiddle abilities, have left Lobster Records and signed to Capitol.
The band, office favourites here at Punktastic, have left their former label on good terms and are obviously excited at moving in to their new home.
On their website, www.yellowcardrock.com the band wrote: “Hi everyone! We’ve got some news. We are no longer on Lobster Records. Our new home will be Capitol Records.
“We don’t want this to freak anyone out. The five of us give you, OUR FANS, our word that nothing will ever come before you. Yellowcard will continue to make the best music we can & continue to inspire those who choose to listen to it.
“Without you our music could not breathe. You have proven to us that dreams can come true. We thank you for your amazing support. We hope that you will all stay with us as we start down this new and exciting path.
“We love all of you and could not have done this without you. Sincerely, Ryan, Warren, Sean, Ben & LP.”
In response those fine people at Lobster Records posted this on their site, www.lobsterrecords.com
“Pride and congratulations to Yellowcard on their Capitol Records signing. Ben, Warren, Ryan, Sean, LP – your band and your fans are worthy of this new support. Yellowcard at the top of the charts!”
