Wol quits spunge

Submitted by [spunge]: “Due to personal circumstances UK ska/punk band [spunge] are sad to have to announce that rhythm guitarist Wol (Paul Gurney), after much thought, has decided to leave the band as of Jan 30th 2006. The band would like to thank him for all the blood, sweat and tears he has given to us over the last decade and more. But most of all a huge thank you for all the great times and contributions he has given to make [spunge] what they are today. We would like to assure everyone that [spunge] will be carrying on as normal and the sound and energy of the band will not be affected by Wol leaving. At this point in time we are not looking to replace the position left by Wol and [spunge] will be carrying on as a 4 piece for the foreseeable future and will still be recording the next album in the first half of this year as well as playing some select shows. Wol will continue to be a part of what makes [spunge], all be it as a close friend rather than as a band member and we wish him all the best in anything and everything he chooses to do in the future.”
