The trailer for ‘Massive’ showcases the rise of the Welsh scene

The 00s saw the rise of the alternative Welsh scene, with the likes of Funeral For A Friend, Kids In Glass Houses and The Blackout making names for themselves, both nationally and around the world. Taking these bands as both inspiration for subjects of, filmmaker Jamie Black has documented Welsh rock music, featuring interviews with key players in developing the scene.

As well as the aforementioned powerhouse trio, the film also investigates the importance of Midasuno, Dopamine, Covergirl, Shaped By Fate, Attack! Attack!, When Reason Sleeps, Indifference, Shape Of My Addiction, Flailing Wail, Straight Lines, Said Mike, and Juniper.

With reportedly over 120 hours of footage in the can, ‘Massive – The Amazing Rise and Fall’ will be released in February 2016.
