The Replacements have announced that they will be releasing their new live album, ‘For Sale: Live at Maxwell’s 1986’.
Originally recorded in 1986 at Maxwell’s in Hoboken, NJ, it is a snapshot of one of the band’s final performances from their original line up, which consisted of Chris Mars, Paul Westerberg, Bob Stinson and Tommy Stinson. The recorded set has been hidden in Warner Music’s vaults for the past two decades, but will now see the light of day. It features twenty nine live tracks from the band’s first four albums, as well as b-sides and rarities. It will be released on the 6th October through Rhino Records and can be pre-ordered here.
If that wasn’t enough, Rolling Stone are streaming a live rendition of ‘Can’t Hardly Wait’ from the release, preceding it’s studio recorded release on 1987 fifth album, ‘Pleased to Meet Me’.
