Route 215 have parted ways with their guitarist Mike. Skirtbox six-stringer Dow is currently filling in for the boys on the rest of the Punktastic tour dates. Nick and Rod told Punktastic: “Sadly, as of Monday this week we have parted ways with our guitarist Mike who we have been with from the start. There is slight consolation in the fact that we parted on good terms and it is the best thing for all of us. Of course we wish him all the luck for the future. This is obviously a very hard time for us as not only have we been playing together in various bands for the last 5 years but we also start our tour with Fletcher and Jerry Built this week and are gearing up for recording a new album in November. Dow Feelgood from Skirtbox has very kindly jumped to the rescue and learnt our songs in two days. He played his first show with us last night in Leeds which we thought was a great success. He will also stand in for the recording, so big thanks go to him and Skirtbox for their help and support. We are however actively looking for a full time guitarist to complete our three piece. We need someone who is very energetic, an enthusiastic guitarist and backing singer and has no other commitments as we have a busy touring schedule. We are of course based in London so location will need to be taken into consideration. Anyone interested should contact us at
info@route215.com and organise an audition.”
