On their new track, ‘Not Again’, Chicago’s Ratboys take a definitive step away from their acoustic roots, firmly cementing their place on the Topshelf Records roster with distorted guitars and whimsical indie-punk sounds. Labelling themselves post-country, the track places Julia Steiner’s delicate vocals at an equal level to the fuzzy guitars, giving ‘Not Again’ a subtly gritty feel.
The track will be available from the 8th April 2016 via Topshelf Records, and premiered via Impose Magazine earlier this week.
