New Jersey’s Prawn are set to release a two track EP entitled ‘Settled’, following the release of ‘Kingfisher’ earlier this year. The EP will be available on limited edition vinyl as part of Record Store Day. Both tracks will also feature on a deluxe reissue of the LP, due on the 25th November via Topshelf Records.
“Last year we set out to write a full length record, which eventually became ‘Kingfisher’,” Prawn guitarist and vocalist Tony Clark explains. “We wrote and recorded a total of 12 songs, of which only 10 made the final cut. We had to cut two songs and shuffle the order to make it onto a 12″ vinyl. The two songs we left off our personally some of our favorites and we thought they deserved a proper release. The good folks at Topshelf agreed and hence the ‘Settled’ 7″.”
Prawn are currently gearing up to tour alongside Gnarwolves, including a special performance at this year’s Punktastic Festival in Cardiff. Details of the festival, which also includes Vales, Concave, Falling With Style and Conductor can be found on the official Facebook event page.
