A statement from My Deaf Audio: “Ok so it has been nearly a year since you have heard from us. We are really sorry about that. None of us died but we had all but thrown in the towel. Real life had taken over and our hectic touring schedule had taken its toll on our souls. we needed to go deep underground and hide from everything for a while. Management fuck ups, Label fuck ups booking agent fuck ups, our van proper fucked up. hell we were pretty fucked up. It felt right to call it a day. However as you are all probably aware we have never released a statement saying we have split up. we just went into hiding. we are all still the best of friends and see each other and least once a week to play football or get drunk. This weekend was the first time we have really discussed the band and old times and realized there is one thing we never got to do and that was record the last material we wrote. It really was the best songs we had ever written and for them not to be recorded would be a huge shame. so..over the next few months we hope to find the time to get back into the studio and record this masterpiece!! I cant make any promises as there is a chance we would have forgotten how to play our instruments. but if all goes well our parting gift to you would be the best and last of MDA free to download hopefully by early next year. We are not sure if we will ever tour again yet but im sure we will play a few reunion shows at the very least. At the end of the day its all we know!”
