Modern Baseball unveil two tracks from ‘Holy Ghost’

By Glen Bushell

Philadelphia’s Modern Baseball are streaming not one, but two new tracks from their forthcoming album ‘Holy Ghost’. The album will see primary songwriters/guitarist Jake Ewald and Brendan Lukens take on a side of the record each.

The first of the new tracks is ‘Everyday’, which was written by Ewald. He said the following of his contribution track:

“I have a pretty bad memory. When I manage to remember things from my past (recent or distant), they usually seem insignificant on the surface. Nevertheless, those are the things I remember, and most of the important stuff is forgotten. “Everyday” is a short exhibit of those insignificant memories and an attempt at understanding their importance in my life.”

Lukens has also shared one of his songs from the album, ‘Apple Cider, I Don’t Mind’. A song which he told NPR is about trust:

“Trust is something every growing relationship needs. Without trust, all your conversations are just questions and doubts. I lost my best friend and partner, and didn’t know who to blame. “Apple” is a toast to looking at past mistakes as a chance to move forward.”

‘Holy Ghost’ is released on May 13th via Run For Cover Records. Pre-orders are available now,ย and will also be handled in the UK by Big Scary Monsters.
