An MC Lars update: “Here’s some exciting news about three things that are going on creatively right now. We’re going to release a song a month, for the next five months, and they’ll be international single releases. With the way the Internet has changed distribution and everything, the idea of putting out an album already seems antiquated in 2006. By the time you hear a band’s new song, it was already written 1 or 2 years ago and loses its topical flavor. Eventually we’ll compile all of these jams on a future release, but for now we’re going to release them one at a time! So keep checking back, it will be fresh. I know some of you used to listen to “The MC Lars Show” on Sirius satellite radio. Well, since Sirius is so expensive and the only person you know that has it is your Dad’s friend’s brother’s neighbor (who you had to go visit if you wanted to listen), we decided to bring the show to everyone and start the “MC Lars Show Podcast”… it will be a free monthly download. Thirdly, we’re going to start the monthly video podcast. We’re putting out the Lars DVD in the spring, and this will be kind of like a regular preview of it, with clips from the DVD and new hilarious footage. Keep your eyes peeled!!!! As you’ve all always known, I run this technology ish like a track meet.”
