Light You Up return as Holygood

By Gem Rogers

After sharing cryptic video teasers last week, Birmingham pop punkers Light You Up have returned with a new name and identity – as well as confirming that they have now signed to Warner Music.

Light You Up formed in 2012 and released debut album ‘All We’ve Ever Known’ in 2014, alongside tours with the likes of Four Year Strong, Hit The Lights, and WSTR, before unexpectedly going quiet a few years later whilst working on their sophomore release.

Explaining in a Facebook post, the band said;

“Thank you to everyone who has waited patiently for news on what the future holds for us.

There has been a hell of a lot going on behind the scenes, but we are now ready to let you all know that we have decided to turn over a new leaf and start afresh under a new name and identity: we are now Holygood.

We felt that this was the best thing that we could do for ourselves, our band, and for the legacy of what Light You Up was. We’ve recorded new songs, shot new music videos, and signed with Warner Music Group.

Thank you for listening, we’ll see you all very soon.”
