Leeds based metallers Liber Necris will release ‘Negative Creator’ via Gallows’ Venn Records on the 7th April 2014. Since forming in 2010, the band have followed the likes of Behemoth and Decapitated by heading to Poland for the recording process.
Liber Necris, named after the Egyptian Book of the Dead, recently took Simon Wright on as vocalist following the departure of their former frontman.
“In a scene where so many bands fail to stand out Liber Necris have the ability to create songs that are both memorable and also somewhat nostalgic,” Laurent Barnard of Venn Records explains. “I remember being in the studio working on the Krokodil album and Simon playing me some songs. It reminded me of being a teenager listening to Obituary and Cannibal Corpse but this was instantly better. Liber Necris have a real black metal feel to it but way more intense. They represent everything I love about extreme music.”
