Lay It On The Line split in two

By Ben Tipple

London hardcore four-piece Lay It On The Line, in their current guise, are no more. In a statement on Facebook, vocalist Mike Scott explains that he will continue with new, former touring musicians under the Lay It On The Line moniker. The other three members will be releasing an album under a new name.

According to the post, the split is the result of musical differences. Scott explains that he continues to be inspired by heavier bands such as Raised Fist and Dead Swans, while the remaining band-mates are focussing on a more melodic direction.

Lay It On The Line will be touring in their current form alongside Pariso next month.
