Larry and His Flask instruments and equipment stolen

By Ben Tipple

In news that is all-too-common, Oregon’s Larry and His Flask fell victim to van theft yesterday. Posting the news on their official website, the band explained that the van was taken from outside their hotel in Cayce, South Carolina. All of the band’s instruments, equipment and some personal items were also taken, having been stored in an attached trailer.

Today the band located the stolen van, but are yet to find the equipment. In an updated statement, the band told how authorities aren’t holding out hope to find the missing items. “Apparently thereโ€™s been a spate of similar crimes in this area (vehicles stolen with a trailer in tow, only to abandon the vehicle and make off with the trailer and its contents). Bands and anyone with a van/trailer traveling in this area of South Carolina, please be very careful when passing through,” they added.

Larry and His Flask were forced to cancel their scheduled show with Foxy Shazam, however are making arrangements to continue the US tour.

The band have humbly asked for donations via Paypal to larryandhisflask@gmail.com. They have also reached out to friends in each city asking to borrow instruments, stating that “this is the only way we can continue on this tour and we want to carry on for sure. If you can help in any way, please email us at larryandhisflask@gmail.com. You can see our upcoming shows with Foxy listed under the โ€œEVENTSโ€ tab here on our Facebook page, under our main photo.”

The following is still missing, alongside the band’s trailer. Should anyone notice any of these being sold together, or if anyone locates a white 18′ double axel trailer (presumably displaying the van’s number plate, Oregon license plate: 146 FRN), please let the band and/or authorities know.
