As exclusively revealed here yeaterday, King Prawn have confirmed they are splitting. A statement from the band reads: “Yes it’s true. Everyone’s doing it so we’ve decided to hang up the mic, plectrum and sticks. Our last ever show will be on Saturday 27th September in the North Pole. We will not be playing with the VGS in November or with Capdown (as rumoured). We’d like to thank all the bands, friends and people that we’ve met along the way for making us feel welcome wherever we’ve gone. There has never been a dull moment. Unfortunately, our mailing system is down, so spread the word… ”
