Iron Monkey to release first new album since 1998

By Aaron Lohan

Nottingham sludge/doom metallers Iron Monkey have announced that they’ll be heading into the studio to record their long awaited third album.

This will be their first full length since their 1998 second album, ‘Our Problem’, on Earache Records, as well as their first new material since their split release with Church of Misery in 1999 before their original break up. It is due for release this year in late summer/early autumn through Relapse Records.

The band’s newly reformed current line up includes co-founding members S. Watson (bass) and J. Rushby (guitar/vocals), with Chaos UK’s S. Briggs on drums.
