While some Yank punkzines battle it out to find who has the bigger dad (and slag each other off for posting rumours about Taking Back Sunday as an aside), this is the update on what is going on. Victory Records appear not to have passed an official comment on the rumours that TBS have split. A New York band, with an ex TBS member, has been quoted as saying the band have split. Other rumours state that the band have fallen out, gone into rehab, one member has had a family bereavement…it’s all on the rumour mill. What we do know is that two US shows were cancelled for unknown reasons. The TBS webmaster is believed to have sent out emails refuting any split, but until the band or the label comes out and passes comment we will all have to wait. But where there’s smoke there’s usually fire. One thing we can confirm (as we stated ages ago) is that Moneen will open for TBS/Brand New on their UK tour, if it goes ahead.
