Holding Absence’s James Joseph launches new project

By Punktastic

More commonly seen taking to the stage with a bass in hand, Holding Absence’s James Joseph has now taken up a guitar and microphone for new side project James And The Cold Gun – and his debut single, ‘She Moves’, proves that his talent knows no bounds.

Teaming up with James Biss for the project, the single has serious Queens Of The Stone Age-style groove alongside Joseph’s sultry vocals, and we already can’t wait to hear more.

“We’ve been writing music together for over a year now,” says Joseph, “but only in the past few months have we settled on a style that feels right for the band. I would say we had a vision for what we wanted the band to look and perform like before we actually settled on a musical style.”

“We decided we’d like to keep the band as a two-piece to have more control over the creative aspects of the band however we plan to invite friends from other bands into the band for live shows, the goal is to convince Dave Grohl to have a go on drums one day.”
