As well as their forthcoming Greatest Hits CD, rumoured to be named “International Superhits,” original So Cal punks Green Day have announced that they are currently working on a new album.
In an interview with VH1, bassist Mike Dirnt said: “we’ve had a nice break from making hard and fast music [and that] has made us want to do it [again]. What once was old is now new again.”
For those who thought that their last release “Warning” was a little too soft, this news is certainly good news.
Seven songs have so far been written for the new CD and three more are almost finished. The band hopes to get the album out by the end of 2002.
