Glastonbury Festival organisers have been handed a Christmas problem, after councillors in the area rejected the festivals licensing application. The local licensing committee rejected Michael Eavis’ proposal by five votes to four. REM are confirmed as headliners, but various punk bands often play. Organisers now have 21 days to appeal the decision, otherwise the festival will not take place.
