A statement from the band Four Dumb Kids: “It breaks my heart to say it but after more years than I care to remember, FOUR DUMB KIDS are calling it a day. Thanks so much to everyone who gave us a floor to sleep on/a gig/(most of) the bands we’ve played with/anyone who bought a record/heckled imaginitively/yadda yadda- you all know who you are and how much we appreciate it. There will be a new band from the ashes soon, but last orders has called for us. We will be releasing a very limited posthumous split 7″ with our Finnish friends THE PHOENIX FOUNDATION at some point very soon from which there’s a track up at www.myspace.com/fourdumbkids . We’re playing our last ever gig in sunny Sheffield, SoYo on 16th December with LEATHERFACE, POT KETTLE BLACK and WAT TYLER (£7 adv from www.no-rules.co.uk I think). It would be nice to see you.”
