Fierce Panda release their 100th album, and it’s a t-shirt

By Ben Tipple

Long-established Fierce Panda Records are celebrating the release of their 100th record, releasing their ‘Every Day Is Record Store Day’ t-shirt with accompanying compilation download on the 11th December 2015.

“It’s taken 21 long, loping, liquid-filled years but fierce panda has finally reached the very cusp of releasing their 100th album,” the label reveal. “Happily, in true haphazard fierce panda stylee that 100th album is a t-shirt with the slogan “Every Day Is Record Store Day” emblazoned across the chest, like some kind of defiant retail message from beyond the rave.”

Featuring nine tracks including ALMA, Mates Of State and Pile, the record brings together the saddest tracks from the nine records the label has released this year. “You’ve gotta get with the festive spirit, right?”, Fierce Panda add.

The other 99 albums the label have released include work by Death Cab For Cutie, Art Brut and Winnebago Deal to name a few.
