Ex Marilyn Manson guitarist Scott Putesky passes away at 49

By Aaron Lohan

Former Marilyn Manson guitarist and original co-founding member Scott Putesky, whose stage name for the band was Daisy  Berkowitz, has passed away recently at age 49 from cancer.

Putesky co-founded the band with Brian Warner, aka Marilyn Manson, in 1989. He was involved with the band until 1996, halfway through the recording of Manson’s breakout second album ‘Antichrist Superstar’ due to creative differences with Warner. Putesky also had a solo career and was involved with other projects following his departure from Marilyn Manson including Jack Off Jill and Three Ton Gate. Our thoughts go out to Putesky’s friends and family.
