DEP defend Timberlake cover and attack A7X

Taken from punknews.org: “Dillinger Escape Plan has posted some words about their upcoming digital EP. The band had this to say about the disc and the choice of covers: “The DEP song is a radio edit of Unretrofied (shorter version basically), the live song is “The Perfect Design”, and the covers are “Soundgarden – Jesus Christ Pose”, “NIN – Wish”, “Massive Attack – Angel”, and “Justin Timberlake – Like I Love You”. What?! Justin Timberlake?! Don’t worry gang playing that jam at a cool volume will bust the chastity belt right the fuck off of even the most hardcore of daddy’s girls.” Besides that, the band also took the opportunity to pass over another volley in their little feud with Avenged Sevenfold. Responding to a recent interview in which frontman M.Shadows described them as “I think they’re a bunch of homos who make shitty noises and try to pass it off as music.” DEP responded: “What about bands that make shitty noise and try to pass it off as Guns N Roses? This guy and his merry band of musical clowns get more hilarious by the minute.” The EP will be the bands first release since 2004’s Miss Machine and will be followed by a new DVD.”
