Camp Cope stream debut self-titled LP

By Ben Tipple

Camp Cope are streaming their debut self-titled LP, available from Friday 22nd April via Poison City Records.

The Melbourne based trio take the indie-punk of the likes of Hop Along and the storytelling of fellow Australian Courtney Barnett, pulling the sound back to its angst ridden core. The record jumps between deep introspection and honesty to the deceivingly sun-kissed tones of lead track, ‘Jet Fuel Can’t Melt Steel Beams’.

Vocalist Georgia Maq tells Rolling Stone Australia, who premiered the record, that the cathartic songwriting experience allows her to express the difficulties of living with depression whilst simultaneously representing the people in her life.
