Blaqk Audio, the EDM project of AFI’s Davey Havok and Jade Puget, are streaming a cover of Dead Or Alive’s ‘You Spin Me Round (Like a Record).
The duo put their own spin on the track as tribute to Dead Or Alive vocalist, Pete Burns, who sadly passed away last week.
“Over thirteen years ago, around the times of Mute and Black Ink Style, Blaqk Audio recreated a Dead or Alive classic,” said the band on Facebook. “Our version was heard by no one but the two of us. We thought an updated homage was overdue. In honor of Pete Burns, and to all impacted by the loss of such an inspiration, we offer our version of ‘You Spin Me Round (Like a Record.)’ We hope you enjoy.”
It comes after Blaqk Audio’s third album, ‘Material’ earlier this year.
