Beach Slang announce new album, ‘A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings’

By Glen Bushell

As if by surprise, Beach Slang have announced their second album, ‘A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings.’

It comes a year after their brilliant debut, ‘The Things We Do To Find People Who Feel Like Us’, and will be released on September 23rd. Polyvinyl will once again be handling things in the U.S, with Big Scary Monsters taking care of the UK release.

To coincide with the announcement, Beach Slang have unveiled the first track from the album,’Punks In A Disco Bar.’

“A lot of the songs [on Loud Bash] are the stories of the kids who got turned on to Beach Slang by the first album,” James Alex told Pitchfork. “They’re autobiographical, too, but kind of at a remove—I’m not that young kid anymore, but I used to be.”

Pre-orders for ‘A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings’ are available now, and Beach Slang will be back in the UK next month for a series of shows around their performance at the Reading and Leeds Festivals. You can see a list of the dates below, along with a link to hear ‘Punks In A Disco Bar.’
